Point Your Pinkie!

Can anyone tell me what this is about?

(Answer below...)

When I'm longeing a horse, I use my hand that is holding the part of the longe line closest to the horse's face, to show the horse where I want them to go (mainly forward but I do direct a horse with it).

I find pointing my pinkie finger in the direction I want them to go reminds me to keep actively using the longe line as an indicator of direction and not just there bunched in my hand in a somewhat idle way.
